Dr. Jacob Kawwas

Michigan-trained general dentist. Metro Detroit. Exploring the next chapter as a practice owner.

About Me

I grew up in Novi, attended Michigan State University for my undergraduate degree, and trained at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Metro Detroit is my home. My family is here. My fiancée is here. Our future is here.I've spent the last two years as an associate building the kind of clinical foundation I'd want my own family to receive - comprehensive restorative, oral surgery, and cosmetic work. I've invested in continuing education well beyond what's required.I'm not looking to relocate. I'm not looking to flip a practice. I'm looking for the right practice to call home for the next thirty years

How I Think About a Transition

A practice isn't a spreadsheet. It's a team that trusts the person at the top, patients who've been showing up for decades, and a culture the owner spent a career building. The way I see it, my job in a transition is to protect what's already working before I add anything of my own. That means keeping the team intact, honoring the relationships you've built with your patients, and earning the right to make changes slowly - if at all.I'd rather inherit a great culture than try to build one from scratch.

Beyond the Operatory

I stay grounded through regular exercise, sports with friends, and time with family. I'm engaged to be married and putting down deeper roots in Metro Detroit.

Next Steps

I know stepping away from a practice you've built is one of the more personal decisions a dentist makes. It's not just about the numbers. It's about who walks in on Monday morning after you don't.If you're a practice owner who's started to think about that (even quietly) I'd value the conversation. No agenda. No pressure. Just coffee, and a chance to know each other.Whenever you're ready, I'm here.
